Nose: Dulce de leche, de la rosa mazapan, candy corn. Given those you would think this is crazy sweet, but that isn’t really it. There is a light peanutiness.
Palate: Oh wow that is tasty. And yes peanuts garapiñados. Oh it really does match the nose. Sweet velvety butter cream cupcakes, creme brulee, packing tape, powdered sugar. The finish has a slightly tannic feel to it. Like grape skins and white tea.
Rating: 6 / 10 – this is better than I remember it. It’s just yum. Revisited a month later. I like it a lot but am a touch less wowed today. A good drinker but felt less complex on revisit. Lowered from 7 to 6.
