Nose: Cachou lajaunie, fig tree sap, wet cut grass, fig newtons, orange marmalade, allspice, vanilla bean.
Palate: Oversteeped peach black tea, lavender tea cakes, anise syrup, clove cigs … spicy and very woody and oily. Dried grapefruit peel. Concentrated.
Rating: 4 (Ryan) 5 (Shane) / 10 – Unusual as on Grosperrin Ryan is the fanboi and I’m a tougher customer. But today this gelled for me on the palate making it acceptable. It’s a doozie and you need to be in the mood for a tongue twister. I’m sad that the samples had neither ABV nor the region.
