Nose: Yellow peaches, cantaloupe, kumquat.
Palate: Orange blossom honey, anise seed, flinstone’s vitamin chews, elderflower
Rating: 7 / 10 – this is just beautiful
Nose: Vanilla, grape skins, cedar chips, melted butter
Palate: Once the acetone note settles, a rich smooth sweet butterscotch, vanilla concentrate, and cereals layer
Rating: 6 / 10 – this gets a lot better after a good sit. Initial sip is harsh but once it’s smoothed out, it’s a nice older grain.
Nose: Strawberry licorice ropes, dried turkish apricots, dark chocolate covered freeze-dried cherries, figs, mike & ikes, fresh cut grass
Palate: Luxardo cherries, christmas pudding, light rye toast, cloves and vanilla, wood bite.
Rating: 8 / 10 – can’t believe this is not a sherry cask. It’s so luscious.
Nose: Uncuous, southern bbq, dates, prunes, figs
Palate: Pure sherry bomb. Grenadine, subtle meatiness, dried prunes.
Rating: 8 / 10 – 50 shades of glendronach.
