Nose: I’ve started seeing a new physical therapist, who on my last visit pulled out a long velvet pillow full of wheat chaff and lavender. Turned out to be the most luxurious heating pad I’ve ever seen. And dang it smells lovely. The nose is so floral, but not the just typical cloying high notes, It is accompanied by a profound baseline. Guess that means we are in patchouli land. Cider vinegar; aromatic blue cheese, al la Roquefort. As it sits, a slightly bitter celery note. This nose is pretty great.
Palate: Well damn, It’s a bit of a jekyll and hyde outcome. A strong and pervasive bitter note dominates. Celery, dandelion green, green bell pepper, crab apple. And yet underneath is an extremely velvety mouthfeel with a gentle softness. Like an oak flavored yogurt with aspirin sprinkled on it.
Rating: 3 / 10 – Hard nope. This is just not balanced. Cool nose, but crash n burn palate.
