Nose: Seagrass, like walking in the tidal fields at mont saint michel. Ripe honeydew melon. Unripe dates. Touch of bandaid. Tangerine marmalade on burnt toast. Quite fruity for a springbank. Sweet chilaquiles with a sprinkling of cotija.
Palate: That is a lot of sherry influence with a dry dry finish. Tamarind. Which is the world’s nastiest … nut? Fruit? Not even sure what it is. Fermented melon, once it’s gone over ripe. Peppery, somewhere between rocket and endives.
Rating: 4 / 10 – this is the worst springbank 12 cs I’ve had.
