Redbreast 12 Year Cask Strength B1-20 57.6 %

Nose: An empty cup of mocha coffee, chocolate cookie batter, the ghost of cinnamon past, touch of bitters, hot sawdust.. A whisper of dark fruit something that I can’t pin down.. Cuz it probably isn’t there.

Palate: What a freaking awesome palate. Holy shitballs friends, this is GOOD. It is pretty unusual for me to pause before going right to dissecting a dram to see what makes it tick. This one is worth just enjoying. I’m even resisting doing it. But what the frak, here goes. Cinnamon bear gummies, a creamy cappuccino with a splash of baileys, chocolate cheesecake with raspberries on top, whole cabinet of oaky goodness.

Rating: 8 / 10 – This was part of a blind online tasting run by Lucasz when many of us are trapped on lockdown. Good lord this is working for me. ISO Pour 5. Ahh.. a Redbreast 12 CS. Surprised I didn’t guess, but It is always nice to have a personal favorite still be a favorite when blind.
