Nose: The kids and I have recently embarked on the grand adventure of popsicle making. Currently contender for the king of pop, nectarine & passionfruit. The rich fruit bouquet is almost overwhelming. Like sitting mid orchard as the fruit drops from heavy branches and birds sing their high praises. Pink peppercorn simple syrup. Pink grapefruit gummies. Man I miss those, haven’t seen them here in europe for years.
Palate: The kiss of an orchard. Yellow peaches. Even the syrup from canned yellow peaches. Which is a personal peccadillo. But something fundamentally spice along with the sugar rush. Fresh rye bread with a thin scrape of butter and peach marmalade. With a lemon twist. The lightest touch of cloves.
Rating: 8 / 10 – So darn fruity. I usually head over to the oak side, but this is such a freaking phenomenal expression of vibrant orchard goodness.
